Finding Truth in a Land of Confusion
“I’m so confused at what God is doing.” I texted these words to a friend a few weeks ago. She quickly responded with something I’ve known (and even told others) for years: God does not bring confusion. God brings clarity. In the middle of a big decision, I allowed confusion to take from the confidence of what I knew to be true.
Big Opinions, Small Love
We are living in a world where opinions are running rampant. Everyone has an opinion that they feel should be heard, seen, and recognized as truth. Social media has almost become unbearable as strangers attack strangers, friends become enemies, and opinions become dividers.
Running from Fear
Lately, I have lived in fear. Blame it on circumstance, blame it on busy, blame it on real life stuff, whatever the reason, the facts say the truth- fear has ruled my life these past few months.
The Word I Did Not Want
God gave me a word for this year. The problem isn’t that it came later than my scheduled time to have a word of the year. The problem is the word He gave me. I almost chose not to participate because (a) I was afraid God wouldn’t give me a word, and (b) I was afraid of what the word might be. Choice (b) turned out to be the fear that came true.
